ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਮੁੱਖਸਕੱਤਰ ਬਾਨ ਕੀ-ਮੂਨ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵੈਸ਼ਵਿਕ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਪਟਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਲਪ ਅਵਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਰਘ ਅਵਧੀ ਦੀ ਅਸਫ਼ਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਸੰਤੋਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਮੁੱਖਸਕੱਤਰ ਨੇ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਆਦਾ ਧਨ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਸੰਕਟ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।
