4,000 STUDENTS APPEARED IN MAT

Aryans Business School (ABS) today distributed around 4,000 free examination kits to the North Indian candidates appearing for Management Admission Test (MAT) in Chandigarh. The examination kits comprised of pencils, eraser, sharpener and sweets. Since Sept.'07, ABS has been providing necessary stationery items and conveys best wishes to the exam aspirants. Chandigarh was one of the main centres where exam was conducted in University Institute of Engineering & Technology (UIET); Arts Block I, II III, Department of Law.
The prominent Business Schools participating in the exam from the region are Aryans Business School(ABS), Banur; BJIMT, Sangrur; CBS, Mohali; CMS, Patiala; CMTR, Kharar; CT, Jalandhar; DBIMCS, Mandi Gobindgarh; PCTE, Ludhiana; RIMT, Mandi Gobindgarh; SVIET, Patiala; PIMT, Mandi Gobindgarh; GBS, Patiala; LPU, Phagwara; BGIET, Sangrur; SVBS, Patiala; SVSM, Patiala etc.
Anshu Kataria, Chairman, ABS said that this time majority of the students who appeared for the exam comprised of girls. This time the English Comprehension section was difficult as compare to the earlier years. Also the General Knowledge section was quite tough, he added.
This test is usually conducted 4 times each year in February, May, September and December. It is to be mentioned that MAT has become popular with AICTE approved Institutions & University departments participating in it. Lakhs of MBA aspirants are availing AIMA's testing services from the last six years. In 2004, MAT was approved as National Entrance Test by Government of India.
