The Congress campaigning in the city got off with a massive showdown with thousands of two wheelers and a few hundred cars joining the ‘scooter rally’ of the party candidate and national spokesman Manish Tewari. The rally started from the Daana Mandi, the backside of the Arora Palace and after passing through various areas of the city concluded at Bhagwan Chowk, Janata Nagar near Sangeet Cineman.
Flagging off the rally, Tewari said, “today we are marking the beginning of the end of the Akali-BJP alliance government in the state”.
