Une association légitime, un juste jugement et une justice grandie

À l’origine il y avait la volonté pour une partie du monde paysan du Pays Basque qu’il soit créée une chambre de l’agriculture propre à cette région, afin de coller aux spécificités locales. Face au refus catégorique du représentant de l’État et de ses services, certains paysans, issus principalement de la confédération paysanne (représentation majoritaire dans le Pays-Basque) ont pris l’initiative de créer l’association Euskal Herriko Laborantza Ganbara (EHLG), ou Chambre d’agriculture du Pays Basque en langue française. Les statuts de l’association, conformes à la loi de 1901, ont été valablement déposés le 15 janvier 2005. Elle regroupe aujourd’hui 1440 donateurs, compte 10 salariés, et son propos fondamental est d’œuvrer pour le développement d’une agriculture durable en Pays Basque, soit un objet on ne peut plus louable. Mais, c’était sans compter sur l’État français et ses services déconcentrés, puisque plainte fut déposée par le Préfet du département afin d’entraver le développement de l’association EHGL.
L’action introduite par le Préfet du département se fondait sur la prétendue confusion que pouvait entretenir le nom de l’association avec celui de la Chambre d’agriculture [1] des Pyrénées-Atlantiques avançant notamment que l’appellation et les missions de EHLG étaient «de nature à créer dans l’esprit du public une confusion avec l’exercice d’une fonction publique ou d’une activité réservée aux officiers publics ou ministériels, et en l’espèce une confusion avec la chambre d’agriculture des Pyrénées-Atlantiques» . En fait, seul ce fondement juridique était avancé afin d’actionner la justice pénale, révélant ici toute la mauvaise foi ainsi que les intentions réelles qui se cachaient derrière cette tentative de manipuler la justice. En effet, la Chambre d’agriculture des Pyrénées-Atlantiques, soutenue par de puissants lobbies agro-industriels, vivait très mal les revendications de ces paysans tournés vers une agriculture alternative, écologiquement responsable, solidaire et proche des réalités culturelles et environnementales du Pays Basque. La menace pour l’association alternative était on ne peut plus claire puisque le but était de faire disparaître cette structure pourtant bien ancrée dans son territoire, mais qui allait franchement à l’encontre d’intérêts parfaitement divergents. Plus particulièrement, ce combat légitime entendait dénoncer tous ceux qui agissent dans le sens d’une plus grande concentration des exploitations agricoles à vocation intensive, collant ainsi à la politique clairement défendue par une FNSEA toujours aussi dominatrice, véritable porte flambeau d’un secteur agro-industriel prêt à tout pour accroître ses profits et asseoir son pouvoir [3].
Dés lors, au regard de ces éléments ainsi que des forces en présence, sans oublier la forte connotation symbolique qui imprégnait les débats, il y avait de quoi être pessimiste quant à la décision judiciaire qui devait être rendue, et nombre d’observateurs ne donnaient pas cher de la peau de l’association Euskal Herriko Laborrantza Ganbara. Et pourtant, les magistrats du tribunal de grande instance de Bayonne, dans une décision pleine de bon sens [2], rendue le 26 mars dernier, d’incliner sans ambiguïté en faveur du monde paysan basque en relaxant l’association ainsi que son dirigeant. Justice était rendue, et le président de EHLG, Michel Berhocoirigoin de ne pas cacher son immense joie communicative à l’annonce de cette décision favorable. Le soulagement était bien entendu de mise dans les rangs des membres et proches de l’association, tous engagés dans une dynamique alternative et salvatrice, pour une agriculture autre, positionnée au plus loin des dogmes imposés par les méthodes employées dans les pratiques agricoles intensives depuis maintenant un demi siècle. Non, ont affirmé les juges du siège, ni les missions, ni l’intitulé de l’association ne peuvent se confondre avec l’institutionnelle chambre de l’agriculture des Pyrénées-Atlantiques, et encore moins les objectifs fixés qui ne laissent aucune place au moindre doute quant à la nature de l’association EHLG. À la sortie de l’audience, devant le palais de justice de Bayonne, Michel Berhocoirigoin de déclarer « c’est une victoire pour la démocratie », n’omettant pas de rappeler (en langue française et en langue basque) combien l’association avait fait l’objet depuis sa création de harcèlements multiples et incessants de la part de certaines administrations et autres officines qui gravitent dans le monde trouble d’une certaine agriculture toute puissante. Mais le droit ici ne pouvait se défiler en contournant toute notion de justice, il s’est appliqué avec toute la force que lui confère l’autorité de la chose jugée, même si cette décision fera certainement l’objet d’un appel qui sera examiné par les magistrats du second degré de la cour d’appel de Pau. On imagine bien les enjeux qui pèseront sur ces nobles juges, gardiens des lois de la République, véritables faiseurs de jurisprudence, cette source du droit en perpétuelle évolution.
Mais il n’aura échappé à personne que le contexte général est propice aux tentatives de manipulation les plus douteuses, dont certains citoyens engagés font encore les frais. Dans ce sens, l’association EHLG s’est toujours définie positivement, se voulant porteuse d’un message clair empreint de non violence qui ne peut faire l’objet d’aucune confusion. En outre, ni l’État jacobin actuel, ni la justice, ni les opinions publiques, et encore moins les paysans du Pays Basque n’ont besoin d’une injustice supplémentaire. Bien à l’inverse, les citoyens de France, du pays Basque, et de ce monde, réclament plus de justice pour le plus grand nombre. Par ailleurs, le fond de ce contentieux exemplaire concerne les libertés publiques Républicaines les plus fondamentales dans nombre de ces aspects, et c’est ce qui lui confère une importance qui doit concerner tous les citoyens attachés aux notions de justice et de démocratie. L’affaire est donc tout à fait emblématique, incarnant une lutte digne et responsable portée par des personnes éclairées qui ne souhaitent plus que leur destin, ainsi que leur environnement (au sens le plus large), soient remis entre les mains de consciences négatives qui avancent à contre courant du vivant au nom d’intérêts lucratifs mis au service de la captation du pouvoir. Alors, n’hésitons pas souhaiter longue vie à Euskal Heriko Laborantza Ganbara, ainsi qu’à toutes les multiples initiatives citoyennes porteuses d’alternatives vitales pour l’humanité.

Ressentir les instants de vie, accompagner l’ami dans la mort en prolongeant son image. Le réalisateur Ossama Qashoo a saisi sur le vif la balle d’un fusil israélien percutant un adolescent palestinien qui refusait de se soumettre au couvre-feu imposé par l’armée d’occupation.
Ce n’est pas pour exhiber la mort en direct que ce jeune réalisateur palestinien a filmé le corps de Hazza Shadid emporté par les secours mais bien pour consacrer la vie de son ami et figurer l’existence de tout un peuple. Les images de ce document ont une puissance d’effroi incroyable ; porté par le souffle haletant du réalisateur, le visage de ce gamin agonisant ne nous quitte pas.
Loin du cadavre fixé par la photo, le film d’Ossama Qashoo fait le récit de la déportation de la vie. Le réalisateur filme la mort qui vient pour que nous la regardions prendre ce jeune garçon. Une seule balle tirée contre des gamins qui jetaient des pierres sur des véhicules blindés est en train de tuer la vie.
Eloigné du travail photographique qui conduit le plus souvent à une forme de personnalisation, de transposition individuelle chez le spectateur, le documentaire d’Ossama Qashoo refuse l’imaginaire, l’illusion pernicieuse pour donner à voir la réalité de la Palestine au travers de ce destin perforé par une seule balle.

Chandigarh, March 31:
The Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the tragic accident near Sri Anandpur Sahib in which a truck carrying about 70 pilgrims were returning from Naina Devi fell into a ‘Khud’ around midnight, claiming 24 lives and left others injured some of them seriously.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty to give strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed souls.
The Chief Minister also directed the Civil and Police administration of Ropar district to extend all possible help to the relatives of the victims in this hour of crisis.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mrs. Laxmi Kanta Chawala had already rushed to Sri Anandpur Sahib to inquire about the well being of the injured admitted in the local civil hospital.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, Ropar Mr. Priyank Bharti on behalf of the state government announced an ex-gratia grant of Rs. 1 lac each for next of the kin of the deceased besides Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 25,000/- for the seriously injured and persons with minor injuries. He also announced that the State Government would bear all the expenses on the treatment of the injured.

पेरिस ३१ मार्च (धरमवीर नागपाल) आज चंडीगढ़ के सेक्टर २५ के शमशान घाट में कैप्टेन कंवलजीत सिंह जी को-ओपरेशन मिनिस्टर पंजाब इंडिया का अन्तिम संस्कार बहुत ही शान शोकौत के साथ किया गया । इस खब्बर की जानकारी श्री राज कुमार खुराना चीफ पर्लिअमानी सेक्रेटरी पंजाब सरकार ने नागपाल पेरिस को टेलीफोन दुवारा बताते हुए कहा के उनकी अचानक हादसे में हुए मौत पर पंजाब सरकार ने बहुत ही गाहेरा दुःख वियाकत kइया हे और पंजाब सरकार ने ७ दिवसीय शौक मनाने का फासला भी किया हे। मिस्टर खुराना ने बताया के उनके साथ राजपुरा मुन्सिपल काउंसिल के पर्धान मिस्टर परवीन छाबरा जी और सभी मुन्सिपल councler , डाक्टर नन्द लाल जी परधन जिल्ला भारतीय जनता पार्टी पटिअला अथवा सभी पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता भी राजपुरा से चंडीगढ़ पहुंचे हुए हे । मिस्टर खुराना ने ये भी बताया के उनकी अचानक मौत पर पंजाब के सभी लोगो को गहिरा दुःख पहुँचा हे और वोह अगली ख़बर जल्दी हे ईमेल के जरिये नागपाल को भेजे गे ।

प्रचार को रंग देने राहुल भी उतरे मैदान में

नई दिल्ली [जागरण ब्यूरो]। लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए कांग्रेस की तैयारी को रफ्तार देने के लिए पार्टी महासचिव राहुल गांधी भी मंगलवार को प्रचार युद्ध में उतर रहे हैं। महाराष्ट्र के वर्धा से राहुल अपने चुनावी अभियान का आगाज करेंगे और पहले चरण में आधा दर्जन से अधिक राज्यों का दौरा करेंगे। इनमें उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार, झारखंड, मध्य प्रदेश व छत्तीसगढ़ के अलावा पूर्वोत्तर के राज्य शामिल हैं।
इन चुनावी दौरों के बीच राहुल गांधी 4 अप्रैल को अमेठी संसदीय क्षेत्र से अपना नामांकन भी दाखिल करेंगे। वहीं कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी 6 अप्रैल को रायबरेली लोकसभा सीट के लिए अपना पर्चा दाखिल करेंगी।
पहले चरण के चुनाव अभियान के जोर पकड़ते ही कांग्रेस उम्मीदवारों की ओर से सोनिया और राहुल गांधी की प्रचार के लिए मांग बढ़ गई है। प्रचार अभियान के लिए कांग्रेसी उम्मीदवारों की तीसरी पंसद प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह हैं। प्रधानमंत्री मंगलवार को जी-20 शिखर बैठक में शरीक होने लंदन जा रहे हैं। इसलिए उनका इस हफ्ते चुनाव प्रचार का कोई कार्यक्रम नहीं बना है।
कांग्रेस महासचिव दिग्विजय सिंह ने भी स्वीकार किया कि सोनिया और राहुल गांधी की प्रचार के लिए सबसे ज्यादा मांग हैं। इसे देखते हुए पार्टी अधिकाधिक सीटों पर इन दोनों के चुनावी दौरों का कार्यक्रम बना रही है। उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार में ये दोनों नेता प्रचार में पूरी ताकत लगाएंगे। इन दोनों राज्यों में कांग्रेस अकेले चुनाव मैदान में है। साथ ही, करीब दो दशकों से यहां पार्टी हाशिए पर भी है। इस लोकसभा चुनाव के जरिए इन दो बड़े राज्यों में पार्टी संगठन को नया जीवन देने के लिए कांग्रेस हाईकमान अपनी ओर से कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ना चाहता।

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has claimed the Election Commission is soft towards the Congress in the state because Congress party campaign committee in charge Capt. Amarinder Singh is classmate of Election Commissioner Navin Chawla. True to their nature, Parkash Singh Badal and his son, Sukhbir Singh Badal while trying to intimidate the occupiers of Constitutional posts do not even try to check the legality of the same. The Election Commission is headed by the Chief Election Commissioner Sh. N. Gopalaswami and all the decisions are being taken under his Chairmanship. This allegation of bias against the Election Commission has been made due to the large number of complaints being made to it against the officials acting as the henchmen of the SAD. It is said that the number of complaints made against the serving Government ever alleging bias is the highest ever made to the Election Commission from Punjab. This further reflects that the SAD has lost the mandate of the people. What makes the allegation even more shocking is that while Sh. Navin Chawla was a student of Sanawar School, Capt. Another action which has hurt the Badal father-son duo is regarding the transfer of one of their henchmen S K Asthana, DIG Patiala, by the Election Commission. Sukhbir Badal has alleged that despite 2 inquires done by the state government against Asthana, in which he was given a clean chit, he was transferred out by the Election Commission. The very allegation against Asthana was that he had since long been acting at the behest of SAD leadership and indulging in all sorts of illegal acts. An inquiry conducted against him by the state would naturally have exonerated him. But Sukhbir Badal has again minced no words in criticizing the Election Commission over the act and thus, questioning their credibility. It is noteworthy that Asthana was earlier indicted by SP, Crime Branch for offence of murder under S. 302 for his involvement in the infamous Bahadaur case.
When a complaint against Sumedh Singh Saini, Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, and H S Mattewal, Advocate General was made, SAD criticized it saying that an occupier of a Constitutional post was being maligned. But the SAD has exceeded all limits by questioning the credibility of the Election Commission (which is a Constitutional body) and by trying to browbeat its members. It appears that the strings being the curtain are still being pulled by Saini and Mattewal who have earlier also due to such acts brought their offices into disrepute. The Badal father-son duo, it appears does everything contradictory to what they say and merely act as puppets in the hands of Saini and Mattewal. If the SAD Government is so clean, then why has an officer facing charges of kidnapping with the intention to commit murder in 2 FIRs lodged against him by CBI, rather than being placed under suspension, been posted as Chief Director Vigilance Bureau?
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has claimed the Election Commission is soft towards the Congress in the state because Congress party campaign committee in charge Capt. Amarinder Singh is classmate of Election Commissioner Navin Chawla. True to their nature, Parkash Singh Badal and his son, Sukhbir Singh Badal while trying to intimidate the occupiers of Constitutional posts do not even try to check the legality of the same. The Election Commission is headed by the Chief Election Commissioner Sh. N. Gopalaswami and all the decisions are being taken under his Chairmanship. This allegation of bias against the Election Commission has been made due to the large number of complaints being made to it against the officials acting as the henchmen of the SAD. It is said that the number of complaints made against the serving Government ever alleging bias is the highest ever made to the Election Commission from Punjab. This further reflects that the SAD has lost the mandate of the people. What makes the allegation even more shocking is that while Sh. Navin Chawla was a student of Sanawar School, Capt. Reference to a news item appearing in The Tribune today. Mr Naveen Chawla Election Commissioner is not a classmate of mine. I studied in The Doon School Dehradun and graduated in 1959,whereas Mr Chawla, from what I have found out, studied in The Lawrence School Sanawar and graduated in 1961. I know him as much I know the Chief Secretary Mr R I Singh or any other officer in Punjab.
As far as Ms Kusumjit Sidhu is concerned, We may originate from the same village, but my family left Mehraj 14 Generations ago and from what I know of Ms Sidhu she is the daughter of a Service officer and never lived in that village.
This completely erronious news is the product of a mischievous mind and I am surprised that a reputed Newspaper should carry such a story.

सिमडेगा [जासं]। भाजपा नेता लालकृष्ण आडवाणी ने कहा कि सत्तालोलुपों के बजाए जनसेवा की भावना रखने वालों को संसद में भेजिए। उन्होंने कहा कि सत्ता मिली तो 21वीं सदी भारत की होगी। साथ ही मध्यप्रदेश में चल रही लाडली लक्ष्मी योजना को पूरे देश में लागू किया जाएगा।
आडवाणी ने यह बातें सोमवार को झारखंड में सिमडेगा के बाजारटांड व लोहरदगा में आयोजित चुनावी सभा में कही। उन्होंने कहा कि एनडीए के शासनकाल में झारखंड, उत्ताराखंड व छत्ताीसगढ़ का निर्माण हुआ। उस समय वह गृहमंत्री थे। लिहाजा झारखंड से मेरा विशेष लगाव है। झारखंड में सुराज नहीं आया। हद तो यह कि यहां एक निर्दलीय मुख्यमंत्री हो गया। कांग्रेस को कठपुतली चाहिए थी, सो बिना किसी दलीय समर्थन के ही निर्दलीय यहां शासन करता रहा। अब ऐसे लोगों की छुट्टी कीजिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि अगर सत्ता में आए तो आंध्रप्रदेश में अलग तेलंगाना राज्य की मांग को भी पूरा करेगे। भाजपा ही एक ऐसी पार्टी है जो जनसंघ काल से ही राष्ट्रवाद के प्रति समर्पित रही है। पार्टी जातिवाद व संप्रदायवाद के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान चला रही है।

माया-ममता-जया साबित होंगी सत्ता की धुरी

नई दिल्ली। महिलाओं को संसद और विधानसभाओं में आरक्षण के लाभ से वंचित रख उन्हें राजनीति के हाशिये पर रखने की लाख कोशिशों के बावजूद विश्लेषकों के अनुसार इस बार ममता बनर्जी, जे जयललिता और मायावती जैसी कद्दावर महिला नेत्री ही दिल्ली की सत्ता की धुरी साबित होने वाली हैं।
चुनाव विश्लेषकों के अनुसार, इस बार चुनाव पूर्व दलों के दो बड़े गठबंधनों युपीए व एनडीए के बिखर जाने से इन तीनों नेत्रियों के अलग अलग समीकरणों के तहत मजबूत होकर उभरने की संभावना हैं।
जहां यूपी में मायावती को कांग्रेस-सपा में टूट का फायदा मिलेगा वहीं पश्चिम बंगाल में ममता बनर्जी कांग्रेस और वाम दलों के अलग होने का फायदा उठाएगी। तमिलनाडु में पट्टाली मक्कल काची के यूपीए से अलग होने का सीधा फायदा अखिल भारतीय अन्नाद्रमुक की जयललिता को होगा।
जानकारों के अनुसार, तीनों नेत्री मौजूदा राजनीतिक परिदृश्य में अपने महत्व और जनाधार को समझती हैं इसी आधार पर उन्होंने पंद्रहवीं लोकसभा के चुनाव के लिए तीन राज्यों की लगभग 160 सीटों के लिए अपने-अपने तरीके से अभेद्य चक्रव्यूह की रचना की है। इनमें यूपी की 80, पश्चिम बंगाल की 42 और तमिलनाडु की 39 सीटें शामिल हैं। इस चक्रव्यूह को तोड़ने के लिए इनके विरोधियों को कड़ी मशक्कत करनी पड़ेगी।
विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, वैसे तो ममता, जया और मायावती तीनों ही सत्ता की सीढि़यों को तेजी से चढ़ना चाहती हैं, लेकिन मायावती की महत्वाकांक्षा कुछ अधिक ही है। इसी के चलते वह देश के सबसे अधिक सीटों वाले राज्य उत्तर प्रदेश को को अकेले अपने दम पर ही फतह करने निकल पड़ी है। उन्होंने दावा किया है कि इस आम चुनाव के बाद उनकी पार्टी तीसरे सबसे बड़े दल के रूप में सामने आएगी। उन्हें भरोसा है कि विधान सभा चुनाव की तरह उनका सोशल इंजीनियरिंग का फार्मूला लोकसभा में भी सफल रहेगा।
प्रधानमंत्री बनने की चाह में वह अधिक से अधिक सीटों पर कब्जा चाहती हैं। काफी दिनों तक तीसरे मोर्चे के नेताओं को भटकाने के बाद आखिरकार मायावती ने अपने दम पर ही चुनाव लड़ने की रणनीति बनाई है। उनकी बहुजन समाज पार्टी उत्तर प्रदेश के अलावा राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ और दिल्ली में सीटों के परिणामों को प्रभावित करने की क्षमता रखती है।
पिछले विधान सभा चुनाव और आम चुनाव में इन सभी राज्यों में पार्टी का वोट प्रतिशत काफी बढ़ा है। पिछले आम चुनाव में बसपा को 16 सीटें मिली थी और उसका वोट प्रतिशत 5.33 प्रतिशत था। लेकिन इसके बाद उत्तर प्रदेश में हुए विधान सभा चुनाव में बसपा के वोट प्रतिशत में असाधारण बढ़ोतरी हुई है। इस समर्थन से लबरेज मायावती ने चुनावपूर्व तालमेल की संभावना पर ज्यादा विचार करने के बजाय चुनाव पश्चात गठबंधन पर ही ज्यादा जोर दिया है। वह विपक्षी दलों के चक्रव्युह को तोड़ने के लिए अभिमन्यु की तरह अकेले ही मैदान डटी हुई है।

नई दिल्ली। महिलाओं को संसद और विधानसभाओं में आरक्षण के लाभ से वंचित रख उन्हें राजनीति के हाशिये पर रखने की लाख कोशिशों के बावजूद विश्लेषकों के अनुसार इस बार ममता बनर्जी, जे जयललिता और मायावती जैसी कद्दावर महिला नेत्री ही दिल्ली की सत्ता की धुरी साबित होने वाली हैं।
चुनाव विश्लेषकों के अनुसार, इस बार चुनाव पूर्व दलों के दो बड़े गठबंधनों युपीए व एनडीए के बिखर जाने से इन तीनों नेत्रियों के अलग अलग समीकरणों के तहत मजबूत होकर उभरने की संभावना हैं।
जहां यूपी में मायावती को कांग्रेस-सपा में टूट का फायदा मिलेगा वहीं पश्चिम बंगाल में ममता बनर्जी कांग्रेस और वाम दलों के अलग होने का फायदा उठाएगी। तमिलनाडु में पट्टाली मक्कल काची के यूपीए से अलग होने का सीधा फायदा अखिल भारतीय अन्नाद्रमुक की जयललिता को होगा।
जानकारों के अनुसार, तीनों नेत्री मौजूदा राजनीतिक परिदृश्य में अपने महत्व और जनाधार को समझती हैं इसी आधार पर उन्होंने पंद्रहवीं लोकसभा के चुनाव के लिए तीन राज्यों की लगभग 160 सीटों के लिए अपने-अपने तरीके से अभेद्य चक्रव्यूह की रचना की है। इनमें यूपी की 80, पश्चिम बंगाल की 42 और तमिलनाडु की 39 सीटें शामिल हैं। इस चक्रव्यूह को तोड़ने के लिए इनके विरोधियों को कड़ी मशक्कत करनी पड़ेगी।
विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार, वैसे तो ममता, जया और मायावती तीनों ही सत्ता की सीढि़यों को तेजी से चढ़ना चाहती हैं, लेकिन मायावती की महत्वाकांक्षा कुछ अधिक ही है। इसी के चलते वह देश के सबसे अधिक सीटों वाले राज्य उत्तर प्रदेश को को अकेले अपने दम पर ही फतह करने निकल पड़ी है। उन्होंने दावा किया है कि इस आम चुनाव के बाद उनकी पार्टी तीसरे सबसे बड़े दल के रूप में सामने आएगी। उन्हें भरोसा है कि विधान सभा चुनाव की तरह उनका सोशल इंजीनियरिंग का फार्मूला लोकसभा में भी सफल रहेगा।
प्रधानमंत्री बनने की चाह में वह अधिक से अधिक सीटों पर कब्जा चाहती हैं। काफी दिनों तक तीसरे मोर्चे के नेताओं को भटकाने के बाद आखिरकार मायावती ने अपने दम पर ही चुनाव लड़ने की रणनीति बनाई है। उनकी बहुजन समाज पार्टी उत्तर प्रदेश के अलावा राजस्थान, मध्यप्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ और दिल्ली में सीटों के परिणामों को प्रभावित करने की क्षमता रखती है।
पिछले विधान सभा चुनाव और आम चुनाव में इन सभी राज्यों में पार्टी का वोट प्रतिशत काफी बढ़ा है। पिछले आम चुनाव में बसपा को 16 सीटें मिली थी और उसका वोट प्रतिशत 5.33 प्रतिशत था। लेकिन इसके बाद उत्तर प्रदेश में हुए विधान सभा चुनाव में बसपा के वोट प्रतिशत में असाधारण बढ़ोतरी हुई है। इस समर्थन से लबरेज मायावती ने चुनावपूर्व तालमेल की संभावना पर ज्यादा विचार करने के बजाय चुनाव पश्चात गठबंधन पर ही ज्यादा जोर दिया है। वह विपक्षी दलों के चक्रव्युह को तोड़ने के लिए अभिमन्यु की तरह अकेले ही मैदान डटी हुई है।

The Punjab government has asked the Commissioner, Patiala Division, to hold an inquiry into the accident. The government has also declared a seven-day mourning.

Kharar, March 29Senior Akali leader and Punjab Co-operation Minister Captain Kanwaljit Singh was killed while his driver Parminder Singh and PSO Rattan Singh were injured when the car they were travelling in collided with two trucks on the Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway , near Khanpur village in Kharar, this evening. The condition of the driver is said to be critical.
Doctors attending on the Captain at the PGI, where he was referred from the Kharar Civil Hospital, announced him dead at 8.30 pm, four hours after the mishap. The accident took place at T Point in Khanpur, which is the bifurcation point for one road leading to the Kharar Civil Hospital and the other towards NH 95.
The Hyundai Elantra (CH 03 S 0074), in which the miinister and the two others were travelling, was coming from the Ludhiana side. Close to the curve, the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and banged into the rear tyre of the truck coming from the opposite direction.
By the impact of the collision, the car spun on its axis and collided head-on with another truck (HR 58 A 9791), coming from Chandigarh side. The minister, who was sitting in the front seat, suffered maximum impact of the collision.
Both trucks belonged to a Ghaziabad-based company, Bombay Patiala Company, and were on way to Ludhiana. Both drivers are reportedly absconding.
The minister and his driver were pulled out from it by the staff of the pilot vehicle, which was travelling ahead. Valuable time was lost in extracting the minister as he was stuck between the twisted metal sheets and the air bag that had burst with the impact. Onlookers had to use hammers and rods to wrench out the twisted metal.
Talking to TNS in the hospital, Rattan Singh said they were returning after attending a marriage in Ludhiana. “All I remember is that a truck coming from the opposite side hit the car, which turned turtle at least thrice,” he said.
Constable Ravinder Singh, first to reach the accident site, said the minister’s gunmen extracted him out of the vehicle with great difficulty.
Eyewitnesses claimed that his face was smashed beyond recognition and he was bleeding profusely from his chest. Doctors at the civil hospital, where he was initially taken, corroborated this and said they were not able to even recognise him.
Subsequently, he was rushed to the PGI, Chandigarh, where the doctors initially described his condition as “very critical” and said that besides the injuries, he suffered a “cardiac” arrest.
Doctors said he had suffered “extensive and grievous” injuries on the upper part of his body. PGI Director KK Talwar said he had sustained, “head, bone and chest injuries”.
Due to the election code of conduct, the minister was using a private vehicle of one of his supporters. Police personnel said the vehicle was rashly driven.

Talking to TNS in the hospital, Rattan Singh said they were returning after attending a marriage in Ludhiana. “All I remember is that a truck coming from the opposite side hit the car, which turned turtle at least thrice,” he said.
Constable Ravinder Singh, first to reach the accident site, said the minister’s gunmen extracted him out of the vehicle with great difficulty.
Eyewitnesses claimed that his face was smashed beyond recognition and he was bleeding profusely from his chest. Doctors at the civil hospital, where he was initially taken, corroborated this and said they were not able to even recognise him.
Subsequently, he was rushed to the PGI, Chandigarh, where the doctors initially described his condition as “very critical” and said that besides the injuries, he suffered a “cardiac” arrest.
Doctors said he had suffered “extensive and grievous” injuries on the upper part of his body. PGI Director KK Talwar said he had sustained, “head, bone and chest injuries”.
Due to the election code of conduct, the minister was using a private vehicle of one of his supporters. Police personnel said the vehicle was rashly driven.

पेरिस २९ मार्च २००९ (धरमवीर नागपाल ) इंडिया से स्पेशल टेलीफोन दुवारा प्राप्त हुई जानकारी के अनुसार कैप्टेन कंवलजीत सिंह का खरर चंडीगढ़ रोड पर उनकी कार का एक ट्रक से एक्सीडेंट हो गया तब उनके नजदीक चंडीगढ़ के पी जी आई के हस्पताल में लिजाया गया जहा उसने दम तोहर दिया । उनके पर्सोनल सेक्रेटरी सरदार हरमीत सिंह ने नागपाल को टेलीफोन पर जानकारी देते हुए कहा के उनका अन्तिम संस्कार ३१ मार्च को चंडीगढ़ के सेक्टर २५ के शमशान भूमि में पंजाब सरकार के रस्मो रिवाज दुवारा किया जाएगा । वर्णन योग बात हे के उनकी मुलाकात पेरिस में धरमवीर नागपाल के साथ इंडिया के सभी खुशी और गमी के समागमो में होती रहेती थी और वोह राजपुरा पंजाब इंडिया में मेरे घर के नजदीक मिस्टर वेद परकाश कपूर वार्ड नो: १६ राजपुरा के कार्यकर्ता अकालीदल बदल के घर हर महीने में दो या तीन बार जरुर आया करते थे और मीडिया की तरफ़ से नागपाल को बहुत ही पियार देते थे और ३ महीने पहेले ही टेलीफोन पर नागपाल के साथ नये साल की मुबारके देकर बातचीत की थी ।

Varun Gandhi surrenders amidst violence
A local court here on Saturday sent Varun Gandhi into judicial custody till March 30 after he surrendered in connection with a case filed against him for his hate speeches.
