Paris gets its first Sikh educational institution

To help Sikh children gain education without compromising their turbans and to provide them quality education at school, college and university level, Jathedar Gurdial Singh has set up a special education institution in Shere-Punjab Complex, Paris. Jathedar Gurdial Singh has worked really hard towards finding a solution to this awkward situation ever since the French government banned articles of faith in government schools. Sikh children have been been forced to remove their turbans or have been banned from attending schools. Over 6,000 Sikh live in France, and this institution is being seen as a hope for them as well as for the children of other faiths who do not want to compromise on their religious identities. Last Saturday, the school was formally inaugurated by the local Mayor and former Sri Akal Takht Sahib jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji, in presence of an impressive gathering. Akash Radio CEO S Sukhwinder Singh attended the function as a special guest on the occasion and lauded the efforts made by Jathedar Gurdail Singh ji and his associates.
