LUDHIANA: Punjab police claimed to have solved the triple murder case with the arrest of two persons. Three memebrs of a family of Lakha village near Jagraon were killed in cold blood on May 29, 2009.


Dalai Lama leaves for tour of Denmark and Iceland

DHARAMSHALA: The Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama left Dharamshala has left for a four-day visit to Denmark and Iceland. He will give a day and a half teaching on Nagarjuna's Commentary on Bodhicitta (jangchup semdrel) and Kamalashila's, Middling Stages of Meditation (gomrim barpa) at the Bella Center in Copenhagen and with meet members of Foreign Affairs Committee and members of Parliaments from various political parties.

CHANDIGARH: Lt Gen Manjinder Singh Buttar, will take over as Chief of Staff of Headquarters Western Command tomorrow. Commissioned in Dec 1972 into the Regiment of Artillery, his long and illustrious career spanning 37 years.

ROPAR: A woman resident of village Ghanauli in this district on Saturday stabbed her five year old nephew to death. She stabbed in the chest severla times, killing the child on the spot.
