Tewari makes impact; maiden speech in parliament lauded
The Ludhiana MP, Manish Tewari has made an impact with his oratorical skills in the parliament. Speaking in the highest legislature of the country for the first time during the thanks motion to the President’s address, Tewari spoke extensively while elaborating the policies of the United Progressive Alliance government in tune with the Constitution of India.
Tewari, who is also the national spokesperson of the party articulated the UPA policies and programmes in an exceedingly lucid and brilliant manner drawing wide applause from the colleagues.

He said, the previous UPA government handled the issue of sovereignity in terms of enlightened national interest that guided its foreign policy and raised its status and stature in the comity of nations.
Similarly he pointed out, keeping in tune with the socialistic ideals, the UPA government ensured the inclusive growth and development with equity which ensured that the benefits of development percolate down to the grass roots.
Tewari said, keeping in tune with the secular traditions of the country, the Congress led UPA government created a congenial atmosphere of communal harmony, brotherhood and trust between people as opposed to the divide and rule policy of the NDA which was marked by the incidents like those in Gujarat.
Summing up his speech he remarked, the UPA had ushered in an epoch of “rejuvenated democracy” where in everybody had been made to participate in the democratic process without any fear.
