AFP - The "bravery" of the allied forces had "changed the course of the twentieth century", said Saturday U.S. President Barack Obama in Colleville-sur-mer (Calvados), during the commemorations of the 65th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy.

"Friends and veterans, that we can not forget - and what we must not forget - is that the landing was a time and a place where bravery and generosity of a few have helped change the course of the entire century, "said Obama at American cemetery at Colleville overlooking Omaha Beach.
