Honour for Kalam London, June 6
Former President APJ Abdul Kalam will be conferred an honorary doctorate by Britain’s Queen's University Belfast (QUB) for distinction in public service. QUB, which has close links with Indian universities and is involved in India-centric research, said Kalam will be conferred the DUniv degree on June 10. The university said: “Dr Kalam, who served from 2002 to 2007, will receive a doctorate for public service.
