PATIALA: Dr. Jaswinderpal Kaur Shergill Principal of Government medical college Thursday said that he will take legal help from Punjab and Haryana High court for injustice done to her. She was placed under suspension after fire incident in which five children were burnt alive.
Punjab government though reinstated her on Thursday but she was removed from the post of Principal and was asked to join as Head of Surgery Department.
Talking to this reporter Dr. Shergill said that according to media reports on the day of fire incident i have read that she was suspended due to preliminary inquiry conducted by the director of research and medical education dr. Jagdish Gargi.
He however challenged the preliminary inquiry and questioned that how Dr. Gargi inquires the matter as he is also involved in Kidney scam of Amritsar.
She alleged that Dr. Gargi' s name is in FIR of Kidney scam and was out on bail, he was regularly appearing in Amritsar court.
She said that the medical superintendent of Rajindera Hospital Dr. Surinder Singh was made the principal of Government medical college and he was junior to her. She said that she was unnecessarily made the scapegoat.
She said that the management of the hospital directly comes under the medical superintendent and he was promoted as the principal. Similarly the nursery ward in which photo therapy unit came directly under the control of Head of the paediatric and no action has taken against him. Earlier Punjab Government decided to reinstate Dr. Jaswinderpal Kaur Shergill, Dr. Neha Sharma, Junior Resident, Reeta Singh, Staff Nurse and Satya, Safai Sewak, all employees of Rajindra Hospital & Medical College, without prejudice to the proceedings of the Inquiry.
