International Women’s Day celebrated at Aryans Business School (ABS)

Chandigarh (4th March’09)

To portray the power of women in the corporate world Aryans Business School (ABS) today organized a declamation contest on the occasion of International Women’s Day. MBA, BBA, BCA students of ABS, Aryans School of Management (ASM) & Aryans Institute of Management & Technology (AIMT) participated in the event. Since, this year International Women’s Day falls on Sunday, it was celebrated in ABS today itself.

The students gave presentation on biographies of various business leaders which included Oprah Winfrey; Ekta Kapoor (Balaji Telefilms); Chanda Kochhar (ICICI Bank); Ritu Kumar (Fashion Designer); Shahnaz Hussain (Beauty Expert); Indra Nooyi (Pepsi Co.); Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (Biocon); Vinita Bali (Britannica); Naina Lal Kidwai (HSBC, India) etc.

The students who participated in the contest included Manveer, Tahir, Lalita, Varinder, Rouf Ahmed, Ajay, Babita, Davinder Kaur, Nitesh, Altaf and many others. While Tahir stood first, Davinder Kaur and Rouf Ahmed stood second & third respectively. Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Principal, ABS gave away the prizes to the winners.
